Thumbs UP…to the NDP private member’s bill that aims to cut the red tape and pave the way for Canadians with disabilities to be eligible for the Canada Disability Benefit, as well as other supports. If passed the bill will allow for automatic qualification for the federal Disability Tax Credit (DTC) for anyone already eligible, at the provincial level, for a disability tax credit, pension or benefit.

Thumbs DOWN…to the side effects semaglutide, which among other things have caused patients to have a 7x greater risk of developing a rare eye condition (NAION). Warnings have been issued by the eye experts at the Royal College of Opthamologists in London.
